- The world's first national park, Yellowstone is as wondrous as ever with magnificent landscapes, wildlife, and natural phenomena including thousands of hot springs and hundreds of geysers. Located in northwest Wyoming and sitting atop an active super-volcano, the park is an authentic wilderness experience: Grizzlies, wolves, bison and elk roam among 2.2 million pristine acres that include vast forests, grasslands and breathtaking canyons, waterfalls and lava formations. Meanwhile, you can view the dramatic Teton Range aboard a horse drawn wagon ride, shop in mountain stores for Western souvenirs, and dine at a special ranch barbecue. Of course, a trip to Yellowstone would not be complete without seeing the renowned Old Faithful geyser! A true adventure!

- Once a year, the old cow town of Pendleton, Oregon becomes the center of the cowboy universe. Billed as the USA’s best rodeo, the 100-year-old Pendleton Round-Up includes parades, cowboy breakfasts, concerts and dancing, and the spectacular Native American ceremony. And, oh yes, people also come in droves for the featured attraction, the legendary, old-fashioned rodeo, with its high-flying, bone-crunching events like bull riding, steer wrestling and bronco busting. As the old cowboy proverb says, “There never was a horse that couldn't be rode; never was a cowboy who couldn't be throwed.” The Round-Up is a big reason Pendleton is known as The Real West.
NOTE: This is a driving trip that leaves from Eugene, Oregon. We will drive north to Portland and can pick people up at specific stops along the I-5 corridor before we head east to Pendleton. You are welcome to fly into Portland and join us for this trip and we can make all the airline arrangements!**
