Washington DC: 4th of July at our Nation’s Capital

Along the National Mall stands the landmark Washington Monument and the memorials to Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. The Mall also puts you at the doorstep of many astounding museums, including the Smithsonians’ famed National Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History, with its incredible dinosaur exhibits and the billion-year-old Hope Diamond. Across the Potomac River, Arlington National Cemetery is home to the eternal flame at the grave of John F. Kennedy, as well as the Tomb of the Unknowns. The 4th is an all-day celebration on the Mall, including the best fireworks in the country! A trip to the nation’s capital is monumental!
